This article contains a video tutorial on how to create, edit, and manage retention policies across multiple platforms using Aware's retention module.
The following provides key points on Retention within Aware:
- Creating a New Retention Policy: Navigate to the Retention Module and select the content platform integrated with Aware. If multiple platforms are integrated, they can be selected from a drop-down menu.
- Policy Type Selection: Decide whether the retention policy should delete content from the Aware archive only, or from both the Aware platform and the content platform. This choice cannot be changed once the policy is created.
- Policy Scope: Set one retention boundary for all content within your platform, including public, private content, and direct messages. Alternatively, create unique retention policies for different types of content.
- Setting Retention Period: Define the number of days for the retention policy or set different retention periods for different types of content.
- Creating Exceptions: Add exceptions to the policy by selecting Create an exception. This allows for the creation of a new policy for a specific channel of content type.
- Editing Policies: Existing policies can be edited from the main retention menu. Changes can be made to the policy type or the number of days set for retention.
- Support: For further queries, uses are encouraged to reach out to their Customer Success Manager or support@awarehq.com
